Another month, another post :D.

Hey everyone! I hope that your March month has been going well!!! Things have been insane here, but there's so much progress happening too, which I think is good hahahah!!! Or at least you'd hope D8.

School's definitely been keeping me on my toes, but my calves are starting to burn hahaha. You'll understand if you try to stand on your tip toes for a long time DX. Kills! The past couple of weeks have been really difficult for me to get through mentally and emotionally because of all of the work that's been presented for us to do, but I've been doing my best to keep my head on straight ^^;. I don't mean to sound like a whiner or anything! Hope I don't!

I have some good news though to combat all of the bleh associated with school :D. I don't think I posted this in my last blog entry at all, but my dad and I have been getting together every Sunday and he's been helping me mix my songs so that I can finally get them up on iTunes and ready to go! We have two songs finished--one of which I want to tweak just a little bit--and two (I think) more to go! I'm extremely excited! He's been wondering if I plan on making a music video for any of the songs and I think that I might try to do something for at least one of them because I super love music videos and have really wanted to make some of my own but never had the chance! Be prepared Christie Karr!!! I'm going to be bugging you to help me soon if you're interested :D!

I don't want to spend too much time blogging this morning, but I did want to update you guys on what has been going on in my life and show you some more of the weird foods I've been making and whatnot :). So, here we go!!!

I think this was one of my first times trying out teriyaki chicken since I usually have a tilapia fillet with teriyaki instead of a chicken breast...but it was super good!

This is the Kingdom Hearts RolePlay ch.4 pg. 85! I've actually gotten a little further than this :D. I finished up Keina's face on the left hand side of the picture and Maiiko's eye :). Slowly but surely coming along!

Chocolate chip pancakes with applesauce and chocolate yogurt stuff! I actually got the chocolate yogurt recipe from this guy on YouTube named Mike who has this channel called LeanBodyLifestyle and his recipes aren't too bad even though finding the ingredients can sometimes be kind of tricky ^^;.

I have to admit, I would have much rather had my sugar free maple syrup, but I forgot I had any before making these, so I ended up using this stuff instead. Still tasted all right :).

These were a few images I took at one of the Chasm visual development meetings where we were talking about what they were thinking the cannon was going to look like and what the inside of the living quarters would look like :).

The cannon reference sketch is on top and the bottom shows a horizontal cut of what the inside of the living quarter's shape looks like.

This is the living quarters sketch!

This was a quesadilla I made for myself that had chicken, tomatoes, onions, olives, and cheese in it. It was delish!

This is the kind of stuff I get to clean when I'm at work :D! All those little silver things on the rug are metal shavings and you can see how effective the vacuum is at picking them up XD XD. Pretty crazy!

A breakfast I made one morning :D. Half a cup of oatmeal has become a morning staple for me ^^;.

This was an image I drew on an art app on my iPhone to kind of represent the look I wanted for this experimental animation project I did for my class. Super creepy, but I liked it XD.

The morning one day after we finished cleaning the Central Heating Plant :D! Thought it was gorgeous :).

This was SOOOO yummy. I used turnip greens, baby carrots, chicken, mushrooms, fat free cheddar cheese, and...salsa I think? To make it. It was so good :D!

Cheeeeezzzzyyyyy!!!! I would get fat free mozzarella because it doesn't have the artificial coloring and such, but they don't have that available at the grocery store I shop at :(. Curse you WinCo! Hahahah.

 It's a face :D!!! Buahahaha. Ignore the shadow >_>;.

This is the beginnings of a project I'm working on in an effects program called Houdini that we've been working with in my procedural animation class. That class has really been kicking my tail, but I made some good progress on it last night, yay!

Eggs with spinach, cheddar cheese, salsa, and a big dan'jou pear to go along with it :D. So yummy!

Forgot to mention I added pepper to the top of the eggs hahaha ^^;.

Teriyaki chicken with broccoli, cauliflower, turnip greens, and brussels sprouts!!! Super good XD.

Another one of my freaky creations that actually turned out to be super good (in my personal opinion that is ^^;)! Chocolate tofu pudding, but different than before! Instead of using chocolate protein powder, I used a square of this ghiradelli 100% cocoa baking bar with half a block of tofu, two capfuls of vanilla extract, and a little bit of my sugar free maple syrup all blended together with my handy-dandy magic bullet :). It whips it up to this AWESOME fluffy texture! You can see all of the popped air bubbles in the bottom image. Yum!

So! This was a recipe that I found online that I thought I would try out and it didn't turn out half bad :D. I used nonfat plain yogurt with some pumpkin puree, added some pumpkin pie spice and extra cinnamon, vanilla extract, and...erm...some of the maple syrup too I believe. It was actually a recipe for frozen yogurt, but I ate it just after mixing and it tasted just as good I think :D.

This is my final project for my procedural animation class so far :D. Probably doesn't look like I made any progress at all if you look at this photo and the one before it, but last night one of my classmates--Thomas Ellsworth--took a good hour trying to help me get a few things figured out and now I can actually scale the engine size of the train :D! Now I just have to figure out how to add more wheels to the engine when it gets longer. It'll be tough but I think I can do it :).

Anyway! I'm really excited to mix another song this upcoming Sunday and see my folks again! It's going to be awesome :). Only a couple more Sundays and my album will be on the market!! AAAAH! Such an exciting thought!!! I've been contemplating album cover ideas and the like and I think I have a good idea of what I'm going to do :). I might go look for some inspiration later today or something if I'm feeling like it :). It is my play day after all!!! Thank you God for the weekend :D.

So! Just letting you all know, I haven't been practicing my "gratitude" days as much lately, but I took to something else that's been helping me just as much and I thought I'd share it with you! Basically in the morning when I'm taking a break at work, I'll open the notes app on my phone and I'll write out the kinds of attributes I want to have in the future, whether it's the near or far future. I'll type out a few here to give you an idea of what I mean :).

"I'm able to purchase items that I want but don't need without feeling a sense of guilt."
"I'm able to take breaks and do the things that I love with the abundant amount of spare time I have."
"I don't have to worry about spending too much money because there's always a surplus in my bank from all the hard work I've done."
"I can travel far and wide and do so for fun once every year."
"My home is everything I want it to be."
"I'm able to manage my stress in a way that keeps me calm and helps me interact better with others."

Things like that :). It kind of inspires me to be more like that and aspire to being that person when I type it down in my phone. Who knows, it might work for you too if you feel like you're in a negative rut :).

Anyway, I'm going to go draw for a little bit I think :). Love you all and hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!!
