Hey everyone! Sorry, it:s been a long time since I:ve updated, but I:ve taken tons of photos and recently updated them on photobucket, so I thought I would show them to ya ;D!
So, recently I went to this amazing Japanese traditional park called Sankeien (it:s like a VERY VERY miniature Kyooto), and this was one of the first things I saw when we arrived there! I went there with my school counselor, Arima-sensei, and a Japanese guy named Kento.
This is a picture of a couple that was getting wedding pictures taken in front of this lake at Sankeien...and there:s a three story pagoda there that I took pictures of ;D. It:ll show up later in this update.
Okay, so there:s a story behind Sankeien. It was just a normal place with traditional style buildings for a long time, and then this really rich guy rebuilt the place and used all of it as his property. After several years, he opened it to the public as a park.
This is a picture of a cellar by his house.
This is a picture of the description of the boiler room that was close to the cellar ;D.
This is the actual boiler room.
This is just part of that rich guys house D8.
This photo is kinda blurry because I was zoomed in all the way, but it:s of one of the buildings and a small bridge across the pond...lake...thing XD.
This is a picture of Kento taking a picture of the building and the bridge I took a picture of. Whew! Confusing!
Here:s a picture of that three story pagoda that I talked about earlier ;D! It was so amazingly pretty!.
Another blurry photo of a traditional building ;D.
This is a picture of a flower arrangement they had at the park.
They actually had a few over there. That:s my counselor on the left. She didn:t want me to take a picture of her XD.
This is a pathway we took up to the three story pagoda.
I don:t know if you can see the city over the trees and shrub, but it:s there ;D! The view from there was incredible. We didn:t get to go inside the pagoda or anything though ^^;.
A little statue of Buddha I think D8.
Here:s a picture of the pagoda when I was right up close to it. It was a cloudy, misty day, so the picture was kinda bright...>_>.
More traditional buildings!
Okay, so we were crossing the bridge at the lake/pond thing, and these HUGE catfish swam up to the bridge and were all opening their mouths at us...it was so funny! They:re used to the tourists and stuff giving them food though, so...yeah. It was so awesome XD!
This is me and Kento in front of one of the bridges that led to this little shrine where Kento wanted to pray for his boxing match he had XD.
Took this picture from the bridge, looking out across the lake ;D.
This was the entrance to the little shrine where Kento prayed.
After that, we took a bus back to Kannai station and then I headed home. It was amazing!
Recently, I:ve just been doing school stuff and thinking about where I want to go and what I want to do before I leave, since I:m going to be coming back soon ;D! I also decided to take pictures of the Tsuji house so that you guys know what kind of place I:m living in ;D!
You go down this street a little...
And photobucket just decided to start maintenance...so I:ll upload the picture of my house later! Sorry guys! I love you all muchly and I hope you:re doing well!!!
